When we introduced the inaugural volume of THE COLLECTIVE™, our vision was simple: create a thoughtfully curated publication where experience, leadership, and fresh perspectives could meet.
Not another industry newsletter. Not another collection of recycled advice.
A place for conversations worth having.
And we're pleased to share that those conversations are already reaching beyond our own pages.
A Little Recognition. A Lot of Gratitude.
Two articles from our inaugural volume were selected by the Dental Office Managers Association (DOMA) to share with its professional community.
For an independent publication in its first volume, having our editorial work recognized by an established industry organization is an exciting milestone.
More importantly, it reinforces something we believe deeply at Carlson Consulting Collective: thoughtful conversations about leadership, professional growth, and the business of healthcare deserve a wider audience.
We're grateful for the recognition and look forward to continuing the conversation. First article shared linked here to DOMA.

Behind the Pages: Volume 2 Is Taking Shape
Our next volume, scheduled for February 2027, is already in development, and we're particularly excited about the perspectives coming together.
We're exploring collaborations that bring different sides of independent healthcare into the same conversation.
From the Doctor's Perspective
What does practice leadership look like from the other side of the desk? We're developing a conversation that explores the intersection of clinical ownership, business leadership, and the people responsible for keeping a practice moving forward.
Talent, Hiring & the People Behind the Practice
Finding the right people is one challenge. Recognizing potential, building strong teams, and creating environments where talented professionals want to stay is another.
We're exploring these questions through the lens of talent acquisition and practice leadership.
Clinical Expertise Meets Leadership
Being exceptional at the clinical side of healthcare doesn't automatically prepare someone to lead people, navigate difficult conversations, or make operational decisions.
We're bringing clinical and operational perspectives together to explore what happens when professional expertise evolves into leadership responsibility.
Familiar Departments. Fresh Perspectives.
Volume 2 will also continue developing the recurring editorial departments and contributor collaborations that give THE COLLECTIVE™ its identity.
Among them is Career Capital, a recurring feature dedicated to recognizing, articulating, and building upon the professional value accumulated throughout a career.
Because experience is more than a line on a résumé. What you do with it matters.
Our editorial approach remains intentional: fewer voices chosen simply to fill pages, and more voices invited because they bring something meaningful to the conversation.
What's Next?
THE COLLECTIVE™ is growing, but our purpose hasn't changed.
We're interested in the conversations that challenge conventional thinking, connect professional perspectives, and encourage stronger leadership across independent healthcare.
Some of those conversations begin with a doctor. Others with a practice manager, a clinical professional, or someone who understands the people side of building a business.
The best ones bring those perspectives together.
Volume 2 arrives February 2027.
And we have a feeling this next chapter will be worth turning the page for.
THE COLLECTIVE™ is an independent editorial publication of Carlson Consulting Collective LLC.
